In all it's glory I give you the 1969 Ford Corsair V4. I bought mine in 1977. The Ladies frankly, weren't that impressed, followed shortly after by a MK 2 Ford Capri. Much better.

Valiant Regal then a Mini Metro. What was the Metro like ?, drove one once and it seemed rather underpowered. British Leyland were a bit all over the place back in those days. My mate had an Austin Princess, a horribly ugly car.

My parents bought me a 1968 Mustang for my 16th birthday. Used, of course. Btw, they wanted to buy me one like the one the blonde in American Graffiti was driving (forgot the model), but I didn't like those.

My mate had an Austin Princess, a horribly ugly car. It had all the power of a one litre car. 0-60 in six to eight weeks. But it was very cheap to run.

A 1 Litre car can now be a beast since the Government made them cheap to tax so the manufacturers started wringing more power from them. My last car was a Mondeo with a 1.8 L engine but I now get much more horsepower from the 1.4 "eco" engine.

My first car looked like this: a 1968 Chevy Malibu 327-4 four-barrel V8 350. I got nothing but speeding tickets because during the oil embargo, nationwide speed limit was 55mph.
