There are all kinds of shortages now, every time you turn around there's another.
Coincidence? Or could perhaps people with power be slowly normalizing having less or everyday things once taken for granted?

Or could perhaps people with power be slowly normalizing having less or everyday things once taken for granted? No, it’s not coincidence. We just went through two years of a global pandemic where half the world shut down or curtailed operations in conjunction with a global supply chain issue compounded by a shrinking work force.

But you’d rather drum up a complicated conspiracy theory than face the simple truth I have a jar in my frig so I should be okay. Great thing about it, it never goes bad.

Yes, and in order to avoid future shortages... we'll have to tighten our belts and create shortages, to avoid shortages of course. But the super wealthy will have plenty. They also control the media telling you to buy the above absurd scenario.

If you’d spend about 60 minutes in a quiet space and think logically without recourse to blaming everything on everyone but you, you might figure it out. Give it a go.

I'm not blaming everyone but myself. Its not my grandma's fault that a lot of people think shortages are good. It's not your grandma's fault that you can't be skeptical of corporate media narrative.

I’m not saying shortages are good, but there is silver lining in that we spend do damn much on shit we don’t need and considering how the world is going we should learn for own well-being to be satisfied with less. We have no problem expecting others in shithole countries to do with less, as in their lives, so we can burn oil like there is no tomorrow. What was the big thing about it being the fat and unhealthy people who were mostly dying of Covid? No corporate conspiracy or Madison Avenue shoved tons fat and sugar down our throats. Our elbows did it. You’re probably thinking of the TikTok rumor the Biden administration was telling farmers to destroy crops when in fact in 2021 the USDA encouraged farmers to dump milk and crops because Covid shut down most restaurants, hotels, schools, etc, that bought the food and there was no way to store it all. I’m assuming these farmers got some recompense for this. Frankly, the way things went and were handled, we are in damn good shape considering.

This conversation follows a predicable pattern, first you mock me as a crazy conspiracy theorist then you begin to admit that manufactured shortages are real and actually good for us. Just like you argue that we should all be forced to rent.

Or could perhaps people with power be slowly normalizing having less or everyday things once taken for granted? I don't think so. Their number one goal is maximizing profits. If they had the ability, they'd want to make more money. There's new problems the supply chain hasn't dealt with, the war in Ukraine for example.
