I like the Post Office. There was always a job there when I was skint and it seemed to run on goodwill and alcohol.
But meanwhile I ordered some trousers on Friday afternoon and the private courier delivered them on Sunday evening. So competition wise, the forthcoming postal strikes may not be such a clever idea

We should go back to a single, nationalised post service where we expect our deliveries in 4 - 6 weeks. Viva socialism!

The only deliveries I get are bills and birthday cards telling me I am a year closer to death. And the only stuff I post are books to odd types who probably don't know which century we are in anyway.
But I liked the old style post office. No money but no work, and full of ex servicemen who knew how to work the system but who would put their back into it when the need arose.

Speaking of cloths... www.yahoo.com/lifestyle/gross-reason-always-wash-clothes-204043117.htmlEven if you get your clothing through the mail you should still wash it before wearing it because it may have toxic chemicals on it that could give you a heart attack. Besides, if you wear socks or underwear that someone else has worn you could pick up crotch or foot fungus from it. Once fungus like that sets up shop in some clothing, no amount of washing will ever make the clothing non-infectious. If the socks or underwear smell like beer then it is covered in fungus.

Or you could go down to Pantz R Us and pick up a pair. He should grow a pair. I already have a pair. Somewhat worn I will admit, but still able to do their job.
Meanwhile, I also have a new pair of trousers which probably won't last the week. Still, as long as they get me through tomorrow's meeting with Sue, Grabbit and Run, they will have done their job.

Or you could go down to Pantz R Us and pick up a pair. He should grow a pair. How, exactly, does one grow a pair of trousers? The quality of the responses really has gone downhill recently.

I am sure that you are right Birdie, but I don't sniff my underpants. Nothing against it and I have friends who do a lot of stranger things, but it is something that has never really turned me on.
