No doubt the economy has improved under Trump and the Republican Congress.

Thank you, President Obama. I voted for Obama and Clinton. But there is no doubt the rescinding of regulations on business under the Trump Administration and the Republican Congress has had a beneficial affect on the economy.

Thank you, President Obama. I voted for Obama and Clinton. But there is no doubt the rescinding of regulations on business under the Trump Administration and the Republican Congress has had a beneficial affect on the economy. Unemployment has been on a downward spiral for a few years now. Additionally, the income of black households increased under Obama. In fact, the income of households in general increased while Obama was POTUS. I seem to recall not too long ago conservatives trying to downplay the low unemployment rate all because the president at the time had a “D” next to his name. The OP never gave Obama credit for any of that so why should I give credit to Trump when the economy is just continuing it’s pattern from the previous year? The stimulus plan Obama signed into law back in 2009 has had many positive effects on the economy. I’m afraid rolling back regulations along with this tax bill is simply a quick boost and will ultimately result in more of the same down the road...in 5-10 years from now we will be in another recession while the 1% will be sitting comfortably with their heaps of money.

I think Obama was a good president. But although I agree things were improving, the lifting of regulations has sped up the improvement. I don't think Trump or the Republicans do everything right. But let us give credit when it is deserved. They won't be in power forever. But any benefits we get from their rule, we should appreciate. As far as the OP never giving Obama any credit, we don't want to be blind, biased and unfair like that. We want to be better.

I hate to break it to the bias of Trump supporters, but perhaps people need to actually read the article.
Paragraph 4 - Job growth among black Americans maintained momentum last year. About 480,000 black Americans got a new job last year, which marked the eighth straight year of job gains.
Maintaining momentum means it was already going down year on year, plus Trump has not been President nor have the Republicans been in control for 8 years.
They deserve NO credit for it.
