www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-64970708Fifteen years of wage stagnation has left British workers £11,000 worse off per year, according to research shared exclusively with BBC Panorama. The figures come from the Resolution Foundation think tank, which focuses on low-to-middle income households. It also found typical UK household incomes have fallen further behind those in Germany. In 2008, the gap was over £500 a year, now it is £4,000.

I can barely manage to spend the money I have.
And does the British worker deserve any more cash?
I went up to my allotment yesterday and found my gardener sitting around doing nothing.
"Come on my dear," I said. "Spring is just around the corner. The beds won't clear themselves."
"But it is raining," she whimpered.
"Your skin is waterproof," I replied cheerily."Now crack on"
Which she did, but without much in the way of enthusiasm

More people depresses wages and drives up housing costs. Nonsense. Here is mathematical proof: If:Household 1 income = 100 Household 2 income = 100 Household 3 income = 100 Household 4 income = 100 Q: What is the average household income? Solution: The average is calculated as follows: Average = (100 + 100 + 100 + 100) ---------------------------- 4 = 100 Now, if we import a low paid family so we have: Household 1 income = 100 Household 2 income = 100 Household 3 income = 100 Household 4 income = 100 Household 5 income = 50 Q: What is the average household income now? Solution: The average is calculated as follows: Average = (100 + 100 + 100 + 100 + 50) ----------------------------------- 5 = 100 So, as you can see, the average household income has not changed. We can therefore conclude from the science that immigration does NOT depress wages and that such notions are complete fallacies. The only explanation is Tories.

Anyway, whenever I employ an immigrant I pay them in cash and I doubt that they feel the need to bother HMRC with details of their income, so where these figures come from is beyond me.

Those immigrants vote mostly for parties that will take your money. You're sawing thru the branch you're sitting on.

Those immigrants vote mostly for parties that will take your money. You're sawing thru the branch you're sitting on. Possibly in the US, where they appear to have replaced politics with public hysteria, but in my experience the first generation of immigrants vote for left wing parties and then after that say sod it, I have worked hard to build a life here and I am buggered if I am going to give any of my money to a bunch of arseless foreigners whose only contribution to the nation's well being is to float across the Channel on a tractor tyre. You should hear Suella Braverman on the subject. Splendid girl, but she gets a bit over excited on the matter
