Mark Kermode liked it so it will probably get a more positive review from The Observer.

Did they kill McShane off in the last one? He's still in there. The lad's 80 years old and still going. :)

Didn't like the first ones why should I watch part 4? You watched two sequels of something you didn't like? There's your answer.

They're okay brain in neutral stuff, the fights are ridiculous (why don't bad guys ever attack people together rather than queue up one at a time to be despatched?) and nice as Keanu seems to be as a human being, the dear lad can't act for toffee. At least they make no attempt to take themselves seriously unlike some of that stuff. The "coins" bit always got me though, one seemed to buy either a single drink or a machine gun, their value was all over the shop.
edit. Bloody hell, that "movieliker" poster must be affecting my brain.

I liked it but I dont really rate the franchise overall. Did feel the length of the movie though
That certain camera angle near the end was pretty cool, inside that house

I'm sure fight scene would be dope but only the first one was a good movie - it was simple, entertaining and it had a soul.

The director on doing a potential 5th installment.

Why does Chad always sound like a douchebag?

saw it last night. Overlong to the point that the non stop, shoot everyone sequences just become tiresome. His indestructability (falling 30 feet or so from a window, bouncing of a car roof and getting up unscratched) goes beyond any point of reason to levels of plain silliness. Impossible not to be impressed by the staging of the scenes but apart from being one long homage to John Woo along with a DJ scene stolen unashamedly from "The Warriors" it's just rather an empty shell of a film.
6/10

That went on for so long I doubt it was meant to be taken seriously. And I loved the bit where it goes top down like a video game.

James Bond, Die Hard, Commando, True Lies, Rambo, The Rock, Speed, Road House etc. So that's nothing new. These films are influenced by Hong Kong action cinema and the makers are pretty open about it. Stahelski brings his own style to the forefront. Woo himself was influenced by spaghetti westerns and Sam Peckinpah films. So, it's not like Woo's style is wholly original.

One bit when he was half way down you could see he was coming to a stop and the stunt man deliberately through himself down the next flight.
