Boy, those guys in Florida must be really up tight.
Don't know, do we have anyone here form Florida...?

Boy, those guys in Florida must be really up tight. Don't know, do we have anyone here form Florida...? Well, I hate to paint any state with a broad brush but Florida is largely where the old go to die and that festers amongst the public at large. It's a fetid swamp of ultraconservative values. That these wilted, joyless sacks of misery find Michelangelo's David scandalous is as predictable as an episode of the Simpsons predicting it. Does the UK have a similar place where the elderly are sent off to rot?

You have conflicting dynamics in Florida. Protestant fundamentalists in the north Panhandle. The Panhandle is Deep South. Southern Florida has many Cuban immigrants and Jewish retirees from the north. Tallahassee is in the Panhandle.

They're not all elderly and they're native to Florida.

Does the UK have a similar place where the elderly are sent off to rot? The south coast, because of the weather. A few years ago, I used to work with the health and life insurance sectors. It was macabrely strange how so many of them had their head offices on the south coast....

They're stuck in the Victorian age...
Queen Victoria gifted a copy of the David to the South Kensington museum - later the V&A - in 1857. When she first saw the cast, she was apparently so shocked by the nudity that a fig leaf was commissioned to cover up the genitalia.
The V&A's website says that the leaf was kept "in readiness for any royal visits, when it was hung on the figure using two strategically placed hooks."

Damn, this story is everywhere and over and over the entire state and Desantis (who is probably the real target of the rancor) have to account for 1 disgruntled parent.
