Would you than after the siblings death, say you have three siblings or four siblings?

Any time the subject comes up I say I had six siblings but one died. He's still a sibling even though he's not here anymore.

Used to have four, but one sadly passed.

Would you than after the siblings death, say you have three siblings or four siblings? I’m not quite understanding the question or point. If one has four siblings, that means there were 5 brothers and/or sisters, but one doesn’t claim themselves as a sibling of them self only to the others. In the case of one dying, one would have 3 siblings left.

I would say five siblings.
Never was much good at arithmetic!

I say three. And if the conversation goes further, I may mention there was a fourth but he crawled into a bottle and died there.
