This is fine with me. They tried politics with Boba Fett and that show was garbage. I'd much rather see this character adventuring in space than sitting the throne somewhere.

Pedro's blowing up right now. He probably wants to move onto bigger and better things. I can't say I blame him.
At least it's Katee Sackhoff. She's a forever legend for her roll as Starbuck in Battlestar Galactica.

I agree it was garbage, but where was politics in Boba Fett? Politics as in making the central character a type of political leader instead of just a dude on an adventure.

I'm torn on this.
1. I am sick to death of Filoni forcing his little cartoon characters on us.
2. Mando ain't exactly the most expressive character. He has virtually no personality and doesn't want to lead. It's an unconventional move to switch main characters, but might not be a bad call. And he can technically still be the protagonist even though she's the leader.

I don’t think that’s what it means. I suspect that it means that Bo-Katan will replace Mando as the lead of the show. Maybe something is going on behind the scenes with Pedro Pascal. For instance, maybe he wants to leave. It seems unlikely, and foolish on his part, but you never know. Maybe it is a pay dispute. Either way, it is a mistake to give Bo-Katan the lead role. If theoretically Pedro did leave, the best option is to replace him. Get a good actor. It won’t be the same, but audiences will be more forgiving than if they were to make Bo-Katan the lead.

Everything from The Lone Ranger to every Charles Bronson film works. Also it gives him a very wide potential for a character arc. He can change, after all. The Mandolorian was Disney’s golden child. If they screw it up they would have really dropped the ball.

I've heard rumblings about him being unhappy with essentially being offscreen all the time. I mean that's the role. So yeah, considering he always has his helmet on, I don't see why they couldn't just recast.

He could probably do one season’s work with two days in a recording studio. But that’s his choice. IF Disney is thinking of sidelining the character then that is a monumental mistake.

I can't speak for The Lone Rangers, but Mando (the character) is one of the blandest I ha ve ever seen.
