Chickens can give virgin birth, people can't. Uh... wut? Chickens can lay unfertilized eggs, but it will never develop into a chick. In order for chickens to reproduce, a rooster must do his thing. There are no virgin births among chickens. Just sayin'. |

Interesting. I've heard of parthenogenesis in lizards, but not chickens. It sounds like it's usually only some very primitive development, though. Apologies for the snark. I've heard a lot of people who seem to think all eggs can hatch if you just put them in an incubator. Sigh. |
