Trying this again. Not really happening thus far... Thoughts on Andor? I think Andor is the best SW TV show released so far. Nothing even comes close.
But, I don't think it is for everyone. It doesn't have the typical SW "fun factor". It's actually very serious and depressing at times. And yes, it does start very slowly.

...And yes, it does start very slowly. Yes, I read somewhere someone say the second half was much better. Tbh I don't really mind slow burners. It's just more irrelevances I don't like. e.g. I'm not sure starting at the end of episode 3 would have made much odds.

Excellent show. One of the best Star Wars works ever made. There's other things that I have or will watch more, but quality wise, it's fantastic.

Couldn’t get into it. To me, part of what defines Star Wars is the golden age action/adventure serial adventure vibe that Lucas was paying homage to. I know a lot of people don’t need Star Wars to stay in its original box and are fine with the expansion into new sub-genres. To them its still “Star Wars” as long as the familiar iconography is there. But to me its absolutely pointless to stray so far from the baseline. Why not just create an original series if thats your goal? I don’t think Mando is very good, but I do appreciate that it at least understands what made Star Wars what it was.

Did you watch through the whole thing? We got to the end of Episode 4 this time but I think that's it for us. Midi-chlorian Jnr was keen to give it another go, given the hype, but we switched to Attorney Woo instead and we're on a roll with that now... Maybe at some point down the line we'll try again!

I think I got to episode five. While I was watching it, I always enjoyed. I just never wanted to watch the next one.
I’d like to finish it at some point. I’ve heard the last few episodes are great.

It's really good. Gives you the inner workings of the Empire and what it takes to start a revolution. Gritty Star Wars

The show was originally set to arrive this year, but Disney has revealed its 2024 release slate and Andor season 2 is not part of the line-up. Its new release window is unconfirmed, which makes Luna's update all the more surprising. "I have seven days
