Fascinating video, stam. I actually have a facsimile copy of Master Race in an old oversize EC reprint anthology my folks gave me for Christmas years ago. The story may be one of the most searing ever created for mainstream comics, and Krigstein's incredible graphics are at the very heart of that. Really interesting to hear more about him and his signature visual style that really did look like no one and nothing else at that time.

Really interesting to hear more about him and his signature visual style that really did look like no one and nothing else at that time. I never thought about people having to work within a production line arrangement of panels. I ended up doing that myself once I got more confident in my ability to not mess up an entire page by messing up one panel (I started off by drawing each panel separately then sticking them down) and the panel template does make things easy. Which (for me) makes his story so amazing and I didn’t even know about the story he was telling.
