I refused to get one when they came out. If the slack-jawed yokels are all getting one, I thought, then I, being a contrarian, will resist.
Got one in the end but about 5 years after everyone else. Hardly ever used it. Still don't.
Remember when we laughed at people who drank bottled water?
Simpler times.

But I eventually found one for £18 a month. |

As well, today there are less and less pay phones available than they were back in the 80's.
I do understand and agree with your reasoning though.
