More defense of crime and/or blaming white people:
ITs fun how leftists have created a cult with beliefs that are the inverse of reality.

Notice every comment omits that she hit him first? I don't give a goddamn if it is a woman. I WILL hit back. I won't hit first but I WILL defend myself and if that means hitting back at a "woman," then so be it.

It went from return anytime to one had to have that receipt & only had a window of time. Yet when I use that logic on ABBEY, that bad gun owners are making the "responsible"(as he calls it) look bad, he doesn't see the similarity. It is always the worst case scenario people who screw it up for everyone.
What logic? A few bad apples ruin it for everyone else?
Get rid of the bad apples!
What sense does it make for everyone to suffer because a few can't handle responsibility?
Yet we all do suffer for it. I have decided many Bankers are fricken gamblers, but they know not to gamble with their cash so they gamble with depositors' money. Gun owners sure don't seem to be getting rid of the bad apples in their midst.

When my husband worked at Vons, they told staff not to stop shoplifters because they weren't trained to do it. They preferred taking the loss to getting sued for injuring the shoplifter or for false arrest because the employee doing the stop didn't follow all the proper procedures. I'm thinking this gal that got tackled could find an attorney that would file a case against TJMaxx over this. That whole deep pockets thing where...I was up for a jury where the guy was suing for an accident that occurred at a particular intersection so he was suing the driver, but also the city claiming the intersection was dangerous due to how the city set it up. The driver who hit him might be declared 90% at fault, but if the lawyer convinced the jury the city screwed up making the intersection, then they would be responsible for 10% of the verdict. So the driver with no money may never fork over his share of a million dollar verdict, but the City owing 10%? So yeah. I can see a lawyer willing to nuisance lawsuit this arrest into cash for this gal.
An accident is different than an attempted robbery. One is just that. An accident. The other is a crime. A lawyer knows he would lose the case. I doubt it would even make it to trial. How or why should a jury award an attempted thief? I didn't watch the video but people indicate the man knocked her down so excessive force? Embarrassment?

He grabbed her bag, she hit him twice, he hit her back. Given the relative size of the to, he didn't try to hurt her.

That's your focus problem..........wherever guns are not banned, we see stories of intruders and criminals getting shot all the time.
jpat has posted the stats on defensive uses, too. Thousands upon thousands of incidents.

I kinda see the point. Some stores don't want their barely above minimum wage employees fighting thieves over corporate merch when they'll probably get stabbed or shot, they're supposed to just call the cops. Why would a customer want to fuck with some desperate weirdo with nothing to lose? Is it worth your life to fight someone over TJMaxx products? Let the experts handle it. Some people, including but not limited to racists, will look for any excuse to be violent towards others. If you think employees who are not security or customers should fight thieves, you're a lunatic.

Sexist?
How much force is necessary to stop someone?
Bill Burr makes a joke that 'You can not hit women.........cuz they fall like toddlers. They don't even put their hands out."

Yet on the flip side of that.........there's plenty of stories and opinion pieces about how everyone on a subway or bus just stood there while a horrible crime takes place and nobody stood up to criminals?
Seems like a Cake and Eat It, too scenario for the media here.

I see his point. But I don't see how ordinary citizens standing up to lowlife criminals can possibly be considered the weaker argument.

And that point is a valid one.........considering the legal/insurance costs involved..........but that's because we've allowed it to get to this point in the US. Lawsuit Central.

Pass a law identical to the Samaritan law. Make civilians legally blameless in their actions against criminal activity. I'd bet it would garner major support.

Not sure..........there seems to be a big push to remove similar protections from the police. So 'untrained' civilians?

I'd trust a citizen (or hopefully a group of them) stopping a criminal before police who can't prosecute and companies too afraid to touch them. We pay more because human garbage steals. Heck, I'd rather my tax dollars go for a bounty on them. But in the interim, I'd consider this proposal a reasonable compromise.

I wouldn't try to stop anyone stealing shit from TJ Max, or any big chain store, but I'm not going to be upset if someone else does. I have no prob with this man fighting with the black woman.
