With more racial tribalism and embracing of gobbledygook in society they may be able to push that number up to 3 a day within a few months. Make sure the media keeps politicizing every shooting. They need to keep delving into the lives of the killers, no matter what race or gender they are. Granting killers nationwide infamy helps motivate future killers! In a few years, we might finally see a day where every American can experience the thrilling adrenalin rush of being involved in a mass shooting on a regular basis. It's obviously no coincidence that we're getting all this possibly racial violence after so many media sources have deliberately tried to start a race war. Is it the reporters or the editors or whomever publishes the stories? Fifty years ago, a news story would say "Armed man shoots and kills two men". Today, it only makes headlines if a certain color is used to describe the armed man and the two men. That is deliberately trying to start a race war. It can't be anything else.

Less than 1/10 of 1% of American deaths for any given day. If you're angry, it's because the press is manipulating your emotions. Control someone's emotions, you control them. You think nothing bad happened all day until some guy started shooting? Nothing bad happened to the other 8,000-ish people who died that day? I do blame the shooter but violence doesn't happen in a vacuum. Something drives people to violence and we know what that something is, so why isn't the media talking about that instead of blaming inanimate objects? Do they want the violence to continue, they have a vested interest, or maybe they are part of the problem, or both? I'll bet if you threw enough $Money and motivated scientists at it........ you could do a study that would show that our modern forms of mass media actually contributes to and promotes much of the gun violence we currently have.
In some ways that study has already been done. Long ago people began studying blasé attitudes that arise in cities. It begins by people being overstimulated by the sights and sounds all around them while simultaneously bored. They become numb and indifferent. They need new and bigger experiences to excite them. Obviously, it doesn't happen to every person who lives in a city, but it does happen to some. Add a 24hr news cycle, internet, social media, mobile devices, all funneling political rhetoric and bad news in a near constant stream of negativity and it amps up considerably. It's like a long, slow, torture that makes people susceptible to extreme ideas. Apply that to someone who feels socially isolated for one reason or another, real or perceived, and some of them break and resort to violence. The bigger the population, the more people who will break. If you study brainwashing and cult behavior, you'll see similarities. Traditionally it was cities, but the internet and television bring this kind of manipulation to suburban and rural populations.

1. I seem to recall studies they did on the dangers of packing lab rats in too tightly with one another.
2. I'm also reminded of how often people in large cities or who dream of living in them decry events/videos of a person being victimized in public........and nobody steps in to intervene. They cry "How come nobody lifted a finger to help?"........but then when someone does lift a finger, they risk harm themselves or backlash from the very same people that demanded strangers 'do something' about criminals behaviors.

I'll ask again. How does the registration cut down on any " gun crime"? It's a very simple question. I already told you. You know. You are just throwing up strawmen. No, you haven't. Not even a little bit. That's what's so confusing. You'd think you'd be able to walk me through it. How does registration prevent anyone from committing a crime? It won't stop a spree shooter. It won't stop firearms from being stolen. It won't stop criminals from using firearms. It's not some type of electronic tracking device. It's not a overtly visible license plate. I've dealt with more vehicles, and firearms used in crimes than I can count. So if you know something that would interrupt firearms crime loop based on a registration number, let's hear it?

One problem doesn't exist because another one does. Always a good argument.

Chicken/Egg argument though.
Lax immigration enforcement for how many decades now has created how much resentment and hostility?
The same could be said for attacks on the homeless. How long before you are shocked that people react poorly after being abused and neglected by the authorities?
ISN'T THAT the same kinda theory behind many professors who claim that crime is actually driven by some sort of systemic abuse some people feel keeps them oppressed?

My response is to a post tying media to gun violence. In Carlson's case, he babbled on and on about the theory FIRST and then someone inspired by the theory committed a random mass shooting in a specific supermarket. The people murdered were the descendants of people brought here to be sold as slaves - nothing to do with immigration. Their forebears have been in the nation far longer than mine and many Americans.

I happen to think the argument about our media is valid. It glorifies gun violence.
Tucker was not the first person to ever suggest such things. Michael Savage has been shouting 'Language, Borders & Culture' for decades. And plenty of others hold similar beliefs.
Our own Govt is playing this divisive game, too. Special rules and protections for special people? What happened to a colorblind society? And equality and justice for everyone?
THAT's the last thing they're pushing in schools now. And then people wonder why schools are getting shot up? HA!

I happen to think - along with people whose family members were splattered on the floor of a grocery store - that Tucker Carlson's reckless, irresponsible words incited a mass shooting. Then the coward pretended he didn't know what the Theory was, that no one did.

I know you do. I'm sorry, I just disagree.
This is similar to accusations against Trump. He calls the virus the Kung Fu Flu.........and suddenly an Asian female reporter who I've never seen before ends up asking him baited questions? AFTER he was accused of racism for trying to stop flights from Gina?
You can not win either way with this media barrage of BS. Children in cages, too? Remember? Perfectly fine BEFORE......and now AFTER Trump is out of the White House. You can't see how the media is playing this game?

All you are doing is throwing out ad hominems like you always do. You add nothing of substance to any conversation or debate. Just personal insults, offenses, name calling, pigeon holing, etc. At least I'm not misrepresenting myself. I've been anti-Globalist from the word go. Globalism = no private property ownership. How the hell are you going to have no private property ownership and keep private firearm ownership? Can't be done. Even someone as simple as you should understand that. That's what gun registration is really all about. It has no more to do with "saving lives" than masks and mandates did. You are wrong. That is not globalism. That is communism. Two different things.

1) People need to be held accountable for irresponsibility. 2) If they can track guns to it's last legal owner, that person should pay a fine if they didn't report it stolen. Or if it was stolen because they were careless. No, that's ridiculous. We need to punish people who break laws where there is a victim, not invent more victimless crimes to punish ordinary people. I don't know what you are talking about. Probably because you don't know what you are talking about.
