Ah, computer game. I remember playing space invaders and asteroids when they came out and had a super nintendo when my lad was young. That was the last time I played one. Don't think the arthritic hands would take it now. Take it the OP is a teenager, then.

It a medium which can incorporate music, narrative (literature) and near unlimited visuals, so there it has unlimited potential as a legitimate art form. It simply adds the dimension of interactivity. Sure, it probably rarely reaches its potential, but dismissing it is like someone who dismissed jazz as nonsense seventy years ago or before that cinema. Don’t be a fuddy duddy. |
