I am nostalgic for the days when the milkman delivered the milk - and sometimes fresh orange juice to our front door. Of course, I was only about 3 or 4 years old at the time, but I remember those days like it was yesterday. I also miss party lines, and, LOL, listening in.

Coin operated gas and electric meters
When I was a lad a chap would come round and empty them and leave mum a rebate. And mum would then send us off to get fish and chips and Tizer and Devon Cream buns.
Maybe if the lad from British Gas turns up with a go of cod and chips I might consider these smart meters they keep pressing, but not until.

Television sets with a vertical control knob to keep the picture from rolling. Once it broke and we couldn't watch TV because the screen was rolling so fast. We didn't get it back from service for several days. Scarred me for life.
