I used to go into Tiffany's and look at all the beautiful things.
I quite obviously was not about to actually purchase anything BUT the staff there treated me as if I was about to pull a wad of cash out of my pocket and buy everything in sight. They seemed to enjoy showing off the wares and seeing my awe at being able to handle really REALLY fine works of art. It was always THEIR suggestion to show me something out of the case.
Dunno if it would be the same today, but back then it was done and it was much more customer friendly than having a floor walker follow you around the store,"just in case". or be told by some clerk "you can't afford it" if you asked a price as was done in some of the other "better" establishments.

According to the article, the Tiffany staff sound like they're still just as accommodating. At this point it's more than a jewelry store, so looky-loos will be expected. I wonder how many young ladies will get proposed to with a Tiffany dream ring in that cafe? :) One of my favorite movie scenes is the beginning of Sweet Home Alabama when Patrick Dempsey arranges to take Reese Witherspoon to Tiffany after-hours. He proposes in the middle of their show room then says "pick one." I really want a rose gold Tiffany Love ring. Eventually I'll get myself one. I don't really go in much for brands, but there are a couple I like, and Tiffany is one.

I love Tiffanys. Tiffany’s used to partner with Nike and promote a women’s half marathon for charity. When you finish, you get presented with a Tiffany’s silver pendant necklace by men in tuxedos. I ran it in Washington DC. Tiffany’s still does it, but it doesn’t look like it’s with Nike anymore. They have one next year in May. usawomensraceny.com/I love their olive leaf design jewelry. I can't remember which designer that is.

Reese is the douche, and does the growing up through-out the film. And Patrick Dempsey also gets his happily-ever-after :)

Figures they would partner up for things.

I have no love for Nike. And I know all about blood diamonds. I actually prefer lab gems myself. Cheaper, no mining, and as far as diamonds go, it eliminates that ethical quagmire. But part of of the reason some people pay the premium cost that comes with the Tiffany name is because they use the Kimberly process and source from conflict free countries. www.tiffany.com/faq/love-engagement-faq/does-tiffany-offer-conflict-free-diamonds/Not that it will make a difference to me, I can't afford Tiffany diamonds anyway! I'd like to invest in a few good pieces of Tiffany jewelry to pass down to my granddaughter, but diamonds won't be in the budget, sadly.
