Spot on here, the greedy elites who run the banks behaved badly once again and caused massive economic problems. Deregulation is a complete disaster for all but the top 1% and yet the Republicans have fooled a lot of ordinary people into supporting because they push the narrative of regulation = big government and big government = bad for people, even though it’s a bunch of lies. The Republicans and the corporate Dems don’t want the regulation system to work well because they care more about the well being of elites than ordinary people, so they sabotage it and then say it doesn’t work and people shouldn’t support it. We need to break up the mega banks and strictly regulate the banking system, and we need to punish the greedy bastards who cause the economy problems with their recklessness.
