Happy Birthday, Kay. We wish you were here to celebrate. 😥 Who, you ask? Here is a video that will instantly refresh the memories of Star-Trek TOS devotees. Yes, Kay Elliot played the robotic version of Stella Mudd, the nagging wife of interstellar trickster Harcourt Fenton (Harry) Mudd, played by Roger Carmel in Episode "I, Mudd." Has there ever been a happier couple than Harry and Stella Mudd? Yes, now we all remember Kay Elliot. Yet how many are aware that this highly talented actress had brightened the lives of tv audiences in the 1960s? For instance, she played Miss Prendergast in the Episode "It's All Greek To Me Affair" of The Man From Uncle (1967). Here's how she looked: To me, her most notable role was as Aunt Hagatha, in the Bewitched Episode "Tabitha's Very Own Samantha" (1970). I was watching a Bewitched re-run and Aunt Hagatha suddenly materialized for about 25 seconds or so. Why? I have no idea. Her appearance added nothing to the plot. My guess is that the original filming needed a bit of filler to get the required screen duration. Kay Elliot made three appearances on Bewitched. Farewell, Kay.

I cant believe how much weight loss Carmel had in the 70's. he really slimmed down by the time he played an insurance adjuster on all in the family.
