I disagree. I think it happened. Now, feel free to blame me for all the homosexual teenagers who are committing suicide because of my religious beliefs. Go on, take that giant step. If Captain Bryce were here, he would do it. There’s no evidence for such event of spectacular portions. There should be all those millions of human and animal corpses around the world that never got buried because only Noah was left. Some of these bodies should still be persevered in low point sediments where these bodies would have washed to due to gravity. There’s none to be found. Giant human bones have been found since the 1800's. Then the Smithsonian gets ahold of them, and they disappear.

To the sick heathen mind, if something is found that supports the biblical narrative, it must be gotten rid of, in the interests of "critical thinking."

I have never burned a book including the Bible and there is nothing that supports its narrative other than the narrative itself. As for destroying something found that does not support the biblical narrative, the Church has gone out of its way to destroy it.

As for destroying something found that does not support the biblical narrative, the Church has gone out of its way to destroy it. You don't have to burn it. All you have to do is declare that nothing has been found to support it. That is the factual truth though. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt the Universe is not around 10,000 years old. We know for a fact that the entire planet was covered in a flood 6,000 years ago. Jesus is a historical person, but there no proof he is also God. Your only claim for this is the Bible. This is begging the question. There is no reason you can’t use the Bible for your own personal enjoyment or spiritual enlightenment, I use it as such myself. I respect the many thousands people over millennia who contributed to the telling and recording of the Bible with the knowledge this was their worldview at the time and means of understanding their reality. It is masterful literary achievement of profound importance to modern history. I wish more people would read it in that context and not as a handbook for How to Get into Heaven without Really Trying.

The Bible was composed of knowledge from a world and time of enchantment that is mostly irrelevant for today’s practical purposes. It is still very valuable in an ascetic, cultural, anthropological sense.

In that human prophecies are often self-fulfilling, it absolutely should not be used beyond its literary value, because if you think the prophecies are directly from God and are to be read literally, you’ve circled back to begging the question. See Waco.

Human skulls, hands, etc., are different from any other animal, jackass. Oh, right, we are SO SPECIAL... not. We evolved just like every other species on earth. Early hominids were very different than modern day humans. Without DNA, which was not available in the 1800's, no bone could be declared a giant human bone. Go back to your other conspiracy theories, jackass.
