I'm happy with this. If we lose to Croatia or Russia, it would still be an excellent world cup for England given how young and inexperienced the team is.
Part of me worries that getting to the final might be more painful.
I really don't want the frogs there.

Sterling and Alli shouldn't be on the pitch Or not as the case may be. Fucking get in. Nice header, he's still not the Spurs player we've seen so much though at the moment. Great for his confidence though. Even Sterling improved as the game went on. Hard to criticise managerial decisions when we are winning, but we will probably face a tough game against Croatia next and I'd personally like to see more of Rashford, he can terrify a defence in a way Sterling can't. |

A narrow defeat to Croatia in the semis is less embarrassing than being humiliated by France in the final. People need to remind themselves that England aren't actually that good. |
