My brother is on a fishing trip this weekend. He and some of his friends are staying in a lodge, with beds lined up in one large room. My brother slept in the bed in the middle of the room, and directly over his bed was lights mounted on an old style wagon wheel. Friday night he had a nightmare that the wheel fell on him.
He decided to move the bed out from under the wheel. The other guys laughed at his paranoia and were a little grumpy that he turned on the lights and was moving the bed, disturbing their sleep.
So Saturday night comes, and in the middle of the night the wagon wheel collapses, smashing onto the floor in the middle of the room.

american construction is known to be as bad as chinese construction, so not really. But the timing, at least, is amazingly coincidental. The wagon wheel could have fallen from the ceiling any number of days, weeks, or months earlier or later than right after he had a nightmare about it falling on him and he became determined to move the bed while his mates slept. Happy Friday the 13th!!

Happy Friday the 13th!! Lots of times I have dreams related to what's on my mind before I fall asleep. Maybe he had the nightmare because he looked at it and didn't think it seemed too secure? He was drifting off to sleep thinking about it?

He was drifting off to sleep thinking about it? This rings true. His fear/concern manifested itself in his dream and seemed to save him from terrible injury if not worse. A little healthy fear, it'll save you from getting mauled by a white tiger and from wagon wheels that go crash in the night.

He shouldβve stayed put and made millions in a civil suit against the hostel proprietors. He could be lapping it up in style at the fanciest facial micro-reconstruction clinic in the country right now. Fucking hell! Whereβs the luck?
