A teacher in Louisiana was arrested and booked into jail for objecting to a 30 thousand dollar a year raise for a superintendent. She said, "This is a slap in the face to teachers, cafeteria workers and all support staff whose work load keeps increasing. But haven't received any raise."

My question is, why did she keep objecting instead of just encouraging the crowd to vote against the pay raise approval?
