Binge watching on Netflix.
Good fun but there's DEFINITELY some holes. For example, when he fakes his own death, he's supposedly doing it for the benefit of sniper's who are watching and if he doesn't kill himself they'll kill Watson etc. So any scenario where he fakes the death will be seen by them. Anyway.
I'm only on series three.

I think it started well but fairly soon got too clever for its own good.

Mary is just the worst. A special ops super soldier? Fuck off.
And Sherlock totally got her killed. Not very intelligent of him.

Women have been trained as spies and double-agents for ages, so it's not beyond the realm of belief that she had previous training that stuck with her. I only quasi picked up on the sister issue. Was disappointed in Watson's flirtations as that's not who Watson's consistently been portrayed as. And the "absent" wall in the prison? Nope, not buying that one.

She isn't a spy, she's a special ops soldier -- a five foot four, podgy, special ops soldier. It was idiotic. But they had to crowbar some social justice into it. In the final episode (I think) they even have ghost Mary tell John that he's had to listen to men too much (something the world has also apparently had to do too much of).

The first couple of seasons are some of the most brilliant writing I've ever seen on TV.
Then it gets kinda lame.
