They almost took the last match to a penalty shootout. From there the match was anybody’s.
Now they’ll play for third place. Third or fourth, you’ve got a good, young team.
I’d be proud of the boys. They’re one of the best teams in the world.

On the whole it was a fairly decent performance made to look much better due to a lucky pathway and the fact that we are very good at set pieces. Lack of creating chances in open play and the inability to finish a side off when they are down was our undoing but they are a young squad and 3 or 4 have certainly added a good few million to their price tags.
Will be interesting how they do at the Euros in a couple of years when they have a bit more maturity.
