Yes, they pretty much do (both the theistic & atheistic brands).

Most modern Satanists are atheists rather than 'devil worshippers'. They see Satan as an icon of individuality and defiance of authority and God/Jesus as representing subjugation and dependency. They're basically edgier Ayn Rand fans.

They're basically edgier Ayn Rand fans. There are probably a few thousand modern Satanists, but even that terrorizes the very religious. And the Satan worshipped bears no resemblance to God’s buddy in pranking Job found in the Bible. It’s the fantasy Satan cooked up the Church during the Middle Ages.

I don’t know if I’ve ever met a Satanist.

Most Satanists are Laveyans, most of which of which are atheists, which means they don't actually believe in God/Jesus. So no. Not a literal God/Jesus anyways (maybe they hate the idea of God/Jesus as a concept). As someone else pointed out, Laveyans are largely Ayn Randians/objectivists (which is garbage philosophy).

It's mostly just silly fantasy stuff apart from a few serious contenders like David Myatt's (probably extinct in it's original format) "Order Of The Nine Angles" which was neo pagan and more to do with far right Neo Nazi terrorism as most of the serious stuff was than any genuine idea of Christian dualism. They were also likely responsible for various animal mutilations that did the rounds here for a bit through the 70's and 80's. Having read their "manifesto" back in the day, It was a seriously dark piece of work that misunderstood ideas like "do what thou wilt" and advocated forms of Social Darwinism at any price up to and including murder.

I'll differ with you on that. LaVey's Church of Satan is a small organized group.
Most Satanists are not organized. There are small covens and lone practitioners.
The Emo kid who wears black and dabbles in black magic believes Satan is a real entity. LaVeyans are abstract Satanists.
There are probably millions of people allover the world who worship Satan and believe he is the Christian god's antagonist.

But you agree Ayn Rand philosophy is garbage right? Can I at least have that?

But you agree Ayn Rand philosophy is garbage right? Can I at least have that? Yes, Rand even calls it "the virtue of selfishness". It's ironic that she has so much in common with Satanism. In a civilized society you care about other people's basic needs.
But you're spot on. LaVey was a libertarian and an atheist.
But I think it's safe to say most people who delve into Satanism see him as the literal Devil, a spiritual entity. Almost all come from religious Christian backgrounds.
