IMHO Todd Rudgren did a better version of "Love is the Answer" than the England Dan and John Ford Coley version that most people are more familiar with due to more exposure on radio stations.
Todd Rundgren version.
Verses the England Dan and John Ford Coley version.
While the England Dan and John Ford Coley version has a more professional studio feel to it. That seems to be achieved at the expense of the emotion and spirit of the song. So that what was originally intended as a song protesting violence written by Todd Rundgrin in 1977 became a romance song when re-performed by England Dan and John Ford Coley in 1979.
