Well here's a first look at Snow White plus the dwarves.
It's been pushed back a year by Disney.

Should have made them CGI and be done with it. Why do their clothes look so contemporary? I guess I get what I fucking deserve.

$330M on what? I get that Gal Gadot and Rachel Zegler probably have a hefty salary and the CGI is probably expensive, but if that figure is accurate, what the hell makes it more expensive than the entire LOTR trilogy combined?!?!?
TEXT:
Mail Online (via SFFGazette.com) has since chimed in, revealing that Disney is scrambling to figure out how to save a movie they've allegedly already spent $330 million on.
"Disney had to delay Snow White because they have spent so much money on it, and if it is a financial disaster at the box office, it might single handedly cripple future remakes and potential Snow White sequels that they have planned," a supposed insider tells the site.
"They also have to remove themselves from the bad taste in the mouths of online critics and want to instead deliver a great film and get to a point where they get it right. They realize that they were overthinking things and are now reigning it all in a little bit more."
Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage has widely been blamed for Disney's decision to ditch the Seven Dwarfs after comments from the actor in which he called Snow White a "f***ing backwards story" went viral. Comments about the classic cartoon from Rachel Zegler did little to help matters, while a Snow White stand-in was spotted shooting scenes with men and women of different racial backgrounds, with only one of them played by a little person.
Disney would deny the set photos were real, though multiple sources have since confirmed those were the real deal. "The Bandits" are expected to still be part of the remake, presumably because they're in too many scenes to ditch them at this stage.
The report goes on to claim that Disney is looking at Cats and Sonic the Hedgehog to help them figure out what not to do (the latter famously changed the title character's design after fan backlash; as for Cats, it's widely considered one of the worst musicals ever made).
"It is a perfect storm right now, but they are embracing change and anticipate it all to work out and exceed expectations. The work starts now," that unnamed source adds. "They also had to delay the movie because they not only have to make it as best as they can, but there are a lot of toys that they have to prepare, so they need the dwarves and the rest of the characters to look exactly like who they are supposed to be."

Collider recently had the opportunity to speak with Rachel Zegler about her role in the live-action Snow White movie. Read Zegler's full quote below:
Then something that kind of emerged was this leader within her that I was so happy that the writers wanted her to be, and the fact that it's born out of her upbringing, but she finds it within herself throughout the course of the film and throughout the people that love her in the film and show their love for her. Marc Webb and I kind of called it her third eye opening. There's a couple of scenes in there where she's speaking like someone who's been alive for much longer than she has, and that's something that I relate to, something that I've been told all my life. So, getting to bring that to a character that I love so deeply and that I've spent so much time with now, it's a really amazing thing as an actor and as a performer, and I can't wait for people to get to see it.

Still don't get why Gal and Rachel would have such a hefty salary Rachel was in an unsuccessful superhero movie and Gal was in one superhero movie that did well.

Lux, well it's not like Hollywood has ever been frugal with money.

“Most of that day was spent singing to nothing,” Zegler reflected. “I’m sure you also know how that can be. There was a lot of puppetry and CGI in post. It was really intense. There’s a lot of bloopers of me tossing a broom and letting it fall to the ground because that’s apparently how you toss things off to CGI characters. But it’s so much fun!” Zegler also said of playing the role of Snow White, “This is an iconic thing that people really care about. I don’t want to mess this up for anybody, including myself. The writers and Marc Webb and our entire producing team…it’s a bit different story wise. We were able to do ‘Whistle While You Work,’ which made me really happy and excited. I was really nervous more about the technical element. That first-look image went out… and there’s a lot of CGI in the film.”
