There is a live action Winnie the Pooh movie starring Ewan McGregor because... because... because... ...because goddammit shit just needs to be fucked with. All the time, nonstop. Every element of your childhood needs to be hauled into a seedy backroom and corporately molested, and skeevy perv corporate entities that are looking to bugger some childhood memory think "Now who can we get to defile this little bit of pure joy of memory? Oh, yeah, how about that guy from those Star Wars prequels that raped everyone's Star Wars childhood? What's his name? Ian something?"

Interesting you say that. I have looked at the trailers for the new Paddington films and just can't get into them. I loved Paddington when I was little, but the new one is not the Paddington I remember. They've made him all mischievous and naughty and slightly stupid it seems. That's not Paddington. Paddington is supposed to be kind and friendly and nice to everyone - "Would you like a bite of my marmalade sandwich?" - he doesn't cause problems and he goes to see Mister Brown and they have a cup of tea and he raises his hat to people because he's a polite little bear - that's my Paddington.

Not one that was part of my childhood, I'm just bearly familiar :-S The critics were wild for P2 - 100% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes. But I understand how you feel.
