Yeah, Sven Hassel books got passed around our school. I never bothered reading one though. Used to read The Victor magazine. Gott im Himmel! Aiiiieeee! I never really read any of them. I went straight from "Cor" and "Whizzer And Chips" to the music press at about 11.

Wonder why the watermark is Fine Art America when it’s a British magazine. Terrific artwork though. It's strange but they do have good copies. I was actually looking for saucy French illustrations (see below) and ended up with English middle class retro. Mowlick’s fap material back in the day.

Wonder if they still make stuff like this. Little pulp Sven Hassel mini books were big when I was a nipper, too. I used to read Battle when I was small. Johnny Red, The Sarge, Charlie's War .... the latter being the best - Joe Colquhoun's artwork was excellent.
