I’m trying to watch it now. I’m a few minutes in and *cringe*
Sorry, that’s how I really feel. The childish dialogue, the horribly unimaginative music accompaniment-
James Gunn: so it opens with Rocket Raccoon singing along to an accoustic version of Creep! BRILLIANT!!!
🤢
It’s just so lame that I can’t stand it. It really feels that it was conceived by a ten year old.
But having said that, IF I could get over such things (I can’t really), then the GOTG films are very colourful and could almost be compared to John Carpenter at his lightest (BUT even John Carpenter would NEVER put this many LAME jokes in there).

I know that it's not saying much since we're only two films into Phase 5, but sadly it's the best thing that we've gotten out of Phase 5 so far.

Kinda weird seeing Deadpool 3 as an MCU movie. Not being part of that universe was part of its charm.

That charm fizzled out long before the end of Deadpool 2. And Francis the villain carried most of the first film on his back was a completely different and better movie when he showed up.

Thor The Dark World still my least favorite MCU film, but god damn Marvel is trying to top it lately!

I liked Deadpool 2 more than one. Less gray, more blue. I liked them both though, and this is coming from someone who's never been interested in Ryan Reynolds.
I definitely liked Francis too. Without him there's no movie, so I don't agree that he carried it. If anything Reynolds carried it, and I say that because of how much improv he did. He's probably the only one who didn't stick to the script.

Ryan works better when he's faced with an antagonist who looks at him like he's shit similar to Blade 3 and Francis did that, while Deadpool 2 had Josh Brolin looking dazed and confused and a CGI villain with a voice actor in a studio somewhere no one would be able to find on Google maps.

meanwhile DC has both Joker and The Dark Knight Joker was an INO movie and if it weren't for Ledger the Dark Knight wouldn't get 50% of the respect it does. The villain is what makes or breaks a superhero movie. That's why the other two Batman movies were so mediocre.

But… Would you rather watch The Dark Thor, Love and Thunder and Quantumania back to back to back OR sit through She Hulk and Secret Invasion again???????

I'll have to see Blade 3. It's on my list. Josh Brolin looked tough as shit in the movie though. He was a classic righteous no-nonsense brute, but a family man too. His straight-man routine bounced off everybody. He's one of the best parts of the movie.
I don't mind the CGI villain. Remember the opening credits in the first one? They were pretty open about the characters. "A British villain", a "CGI Character", a "Moody Teen". It's all part of the joke.

Josh Brolin looked like he was trying too hard like he was kidnapped from the set of an MCU movie voice room into a Deadpool set. He was like a kid in Terminator cosplay. Just didn't look right and his tragic story of his wife being killed by the fat John Connor was a whole lot of huh?
