Right, it's racist to stop a black man from grabbing your dog. Any other race it's okay to call police though.

I remember that incident. There was considerably more to it than what was let on in the viral Youtube videos. The woman was walking her dog, but without a leash. The man took exception to this, approached her and asked her to leash her dog. Apparently she refused, and then the man said: "Look, if you're going to do what you want, I'm going to do what I want, but you're not going to like it." Whereupon he tried to lure the dog to him with treats. This is what set the woman off, and this is when the man chose to start filming - you can see she's fumbling trying to leash her dog as the video starts. She was in the wrong for refusing to leash her dog, but she had good reason to feel threatened - and none of this had anything to do with race. Yes, she threatened to tell the cops that "there's an African American man threatening my life", and this is obviously playing on the stereotype that cops will certainly do something if a black suspect is involved. I think it's pretty obvious she wanted to scare him off with that threat.

He probably sat there all day waiting for an opportune time to create a ruckus to record it on video to cry racism.

There are more Shays out there than there are anti-Shays, for sure, who wait with itchy fingers on phone cameras all day long, and edit their videos to pretend that an innocent person is doing something evil. My semi girlfriend does it. Three of my relatives do it (two cousins from baby boomer age and a daughter of a cousin), and that's just some people I know for sure who do it.
