On Monday afternoon, the prime minister said he was relieved that the incident hadn't in fact taken place. Pugash said police don't know how the story escalated. He stressed it's "quite rare" for someone to make false allegations of this type, and said he hopes it will not discourage others from coming forward. In a brief statement, the school board said it is "very thankful that this assault did not in fact happen. "We won't be commenting further." Big surprise. Sabreena Ghaffar-Siddiqui, a researcher at Hamilton's McMaster University who focuses on hate crimes against Canadian Muslims, said her initial reaction to news that the incident did not happen was concern that it might eclipse real hate crimes. "Hate crimes toward Muslim people are real," she said. "I have heard stories of Muslim girls having their hijab pulled off their head, pushed, thrown to the ground. These are real stories ... and the reaction that we got from the government and leaders needs to still be there." Yep, so real you have to make them up.

I was reading a bit of Ezra Levant on this subject and he raised a good point I think. He wants to know why this young girl within a few hours was put straight in front of the cameras. At the time this was a horrific attack with the suspect still on the loose. If she was nearly abducted by a scumbag pedo would they have put her straight in front of the camera? Usually with something like this it is total anonymity. Yet there she was smiling and telling her story not shocked at all with her face and hijab in full view. We instantly knew her name, what she looked like and her family. It does not usually work that way with a child.

Why isn’t Sabreena Ghaffar-Siddiqui putting this girl in jail?

Why isn’t Sabreena Ghaffar-Siddiqui putting this girl in jail? Cops have dropped the investigation. They don't seem interested in who put the girl up to it. A lot of powerful people should be embarrassed and should apologize but we can't have that.

I bet they are quite rare - perhaps not even a single one on record. And after this event, there still won't be a single one on record, because no one is pursuing it officially. Weird how that works, almost like the virtually non-existent voter fraud in the US.
