I, for one, am tired of people race-swapping and making Jesus look like the Big Lebowski.

People who care what Jesus looked like are missing the entire point of His teachings.

"If"? Fuck your doubt. idgaf what those imbeciles think Retards wasting their life studying folklore. Shows you what kind of intelligence they're working with.
To amend the words of Upton Sinclair, "It’s hard to get a man to not believe something when his salary depends on his believing it."
Dude you can be as dismissive as you like, but the reality is that pretty much every religion that's ever existed can be traced by to one charismatic person who started it. No... folklore is not always centered around the person who originated the story.

he's a fictional character from folklore. we may as well speculate what Thor or Gilgamesh or Marduk most likely looked like. I'm inclined to believe that he did exist and was a political agitator laying a claim to the throne of Israel. I have heard that Jesus's lineage could be traced back to Kind David and therefore he had a claim to the throne, thereby threatening King Herod. It's possible that the miracle stories were put about at the time by his disciples (spin men) to get attention and raise a crowd for his speeches to gain support by marketing mysteriousness. It is also possible that Herod got mightily pissed off by the growing support for him and had him dealt with to get rid of the threat. Most think that INRI stands for IESVS NAZARENVS REX IVDÆORVM, "Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews" but I was in a cathedral in Spain once and saw a painting of the crucifixion and the inscription said INRI stood for INUIT NATUTORUM REX IVDÆORVM - "He said he was born King of the Jews". That would make much more sense as that was his crime - trying to usurp the throne by making such a claim, and a valid reason why Herod would get rid of him. Herod saying he was King of the Jews makes no sense. So, in my view, he existed and was a political agitator and was killed for trying to usurp the throne. Politics claim another casualty. It's an interesting theory.

So you don't buy that Jesus was a white protestant Texan?
