Somebody pointed out of Twitter how Trump has the Kubrick stare on his mugshot.  I so wished I could go to a Kubrick board right now and read more about Kubrick and his movies. It was a great source of knowledge. Not the politics board, the old movie boards, great posters, great discussions. |

Well, you have places like Moviechat and Filmboards. Filmboards has a lot of trolls, but has sometimes archived old IMDb threads. moviechat.org/nm0000040/Stanley-KubrickBut it's not quite the same. I miss the old community feeling that the IMDb had when you discussed movies, especially those revolving around certain movie franchises like James Bond, Harry Potter and Jaws etc. |

I miss: the individual movie threads; the forums on the various franchises; the individual actors' threads; the cozy chats among people of similar or at least compatible tastes.
I don't miss: the TROLLS. Whether they were incels, prudes, RWNJs or LWNJs, or SJWs, if they considered their opinions superior to anyone else's (and derided anyone who posted anything contrary to their viewpoint), they could be downright unpleasant.
Then again, we have both friendly posters and trolls on IMDB 1, so every board has its pros and cons.

Although I'm a bit the opposite. When I went to the Marvel board on V2 I felt like damn, I could have been discussing this stuff on IMDb at the same time but had no idea. |

No we didn't... we did =] it's like the bizzare finale of LOST, we found each other again and can now move on to purgatory with all the friends we met on an island after a plane crash and knew for about 3 months, NOT our loved ones from before the crash who we knew and loved for years.... |
