The anime One Piece has been out since 1999 but I had no interest in watch it even tho I do enjoy anime. After catching the Netflix special on Youtube on Roronoa Zoro, I was like DANG! merh So with no Netflix, I have decided to just watch the original Anime series. I am on Season 1, Episode 13 and it's a lot of fun! P.S. If there is an anime board here, feel free to move this threads over there. :)

It's a fun show, but MASSIVE. Just to catch up to where Cartoon Network is will likely take you a year or more. (Season 16) I do like how Sanji fights. I wonder how they are going to pull it off in a live action show. I remember one guy on the net commenting his fear was that Oda would get hit by a bus or something before he could finish the story.

Jiggle city Dragon Half is fun. Short. Like 2 eps. Cromartie High School is insane. Freddie Mercury's a student. And a gorilla GTO is also good.

I enjoyed Flame of Recca.
It's more a fighting title
Case Closed/Detective Conan is another insanely LONG anime. Detective show. Teen gets drugged, turns into a kid of like 8. Solves crimes while trying to find a way to return to his correct age. It's been running since 1996 & has over 1000 episodes. He would be past his original age by now.
I enjoyed Blue Seed.
Blue Seed 2 is a 3 ep OVA. Has an obligatory hot springs (fan service) episode as I recall
I love the Captain Harlock saga. Arcadia of My Youth is part of it, but it is a more serious pirate tale
Saint Seiya is one of my favorite titles, but I haven't seen Lost Canvas.
To me, most Shonen titles can be seen as Seiya influenced or DragonBall influenced with that also similar to Fust of the North Star. Bleach is more Seiya influenced. One Piece is more DragonBall to the point Oda has written a crossover with DragonBall that was dine as an anime special.
Gakuen Heaven is pretty boys in high school, aimed at a female audience.
