'The Big Steal'
John Cena Vs CM Punk @ SummerSlam 2011
[9.0] "This was actually very good match between two WWE legends. I also loved CM Punk's red and white ring attire here. These two had good chemistry and the match was fairly solid. Highlight of the match was probably Cena's standing dropkick. Also the crowd seemed to be into the match as well. Recommended to watch."
[9.0] "There was no way these guys were going to top their match from last month, so luckily they didn't try to work the same kind of match, instead relying on solid psychology and an old-school approach of working and milking holds on one another. This reminded me alot of an old Destroyer match from the 70s in that regard, and while it's probably not for everyone, I enjoyed it immensely and so should anyone with an appreciation for this kind of old-school style of wrestling. ***3/4"

[9.0] "MITB certainly wasn't just lightning in a bottle. They were never gonna match or top that match when it comes to the overall magic of it, but their PPV rematch here was absolutely great. It feels like two titans clashing with all the counters throughout, and that feeling is especially on play after the count-out tease bit with Trips throwing them both back in the ring. It's some damn great big time main event wrestling. The finishing sequence w/ Punk absolutely CHARGING Cena with that ugly, yet goddamn awesome knee, followed by Cena getting fired up & punching n' pummeling Punk up, all leading to Punk eventually getting him with that GTS, is so awesome. Maybe my favorite bit/sequence/thing of the whole match."

"The 2011 iteration of SummerSlam created many memorable moments, and there were some enthralling matches on the card. There were three high-stakes championship matches but none bigger than the one to crown the Undisputed WWE Champion. Moreover, there was a Money in the Bank cash-in which was not popular amongst the fans.
Not every match was a five-star epic, but there was barely a bad match on the card in fairness. SummerSlam 2011 was the final WWE pay-per-view to be held before the original brand split that lasted for nine years ceased to exist."

"Emerald Flowsion is one of the coolest moves in John Cena's arsenal. He has sporadically used it against some noteworthy opponents, including CM Punk, in the past. It was his go-to move during the initial phase of his career. This move involved a very smooth transition from the powerslam hold position to the side body slam. It's surprising that John didn't use this move more regularly."

“John Cena is one of the top 5 Superstars of all time. His work ethic is second to none. His in-ring ability, I think, is absolutely amazing and everybody knows that and I think it is still underrated."
