For comparison purposes: An Austrian fights against supermarket prices in Austria: mastodon.gamedev.place/@badlogic/111071396799790275 at this moment I have to remark that this is easier bc all 3 countries do have the same currency... Ah, just read on for yourselves, great findings!

The best thing to do is to stop eating. That will soon bring the supermarkets and food retailers to their knees

Interesting stuff, nobbi. Good work by that dude. yes, having worked with a data warehouse in SAP for a procurement department (data warehouse, but no warehouse data) I have some meta sources finding such stuff... The best thing is how there is immediately a discussion amongst several people from several European nations about comparisons and findings - without offending each other - just in search for the truth.

The best thing is how there is immediately a discussion amongst several people from several European nations about comparisons and findings - without offending each other - just in search for the truth. Carl LaFong Oh and I want to add: once You operate with several currencies in complex data warehouses you have to pay attention to currency rates! Having the momentary one is not sufficient. Even having a currency date for each day of the year isn't sufficient. The purchase department also wants to be able to view the data with the 'calculated currency rate' (the one they guessed the year before) for comparing results and prognosting the future. Internal information: When I took over the source code I found some pretty ugly legacy code handling French Franc in the system before the transformation to Euro (and Japanese yen were a horror, too). This is one of the big aspects European business got rid of when transforming to Euro: getting rid of these ugly and error producing traps! But back to the module the Austrian developer made. One has to pay attention to the currency issue once You try to compare different supermarkets in different currency areas. A concrete example would be the effects of supermarkets on each other in the region between Germany and Switzerland. Luckily it's not too difficult there as the Swiss currency is fixed to the Euro at the moment.

Remember the Marathon(Snickers ::sad5:: stupid name) bars back in the 80's. You could kill somebody if you threw one at them. And Yorkies were a decent size too. Well done France on this occasion.
