I just got home from the excellent Retirement Plan. It wasn't BANG BOOM Die Hard, but it was steady & solid.
I want to go see Bottoms but I don't want to go alone lol

Sounds like you had a lovely mow Cheetah. I'm also ready to fall asleep, but I 've got the munchies a bit and am considering a slice of almond tart. I had one earlier in lieu of supper - which I only didn't have because of a large lunch. |

I just got home from the excellent Retirement Plan. It wasn't BANG BOOM Die Hard, but it was steady & solid. I haven't seen it yet, but I like the wig Nicholas Cage is wearing in this one, it suits him. He's the ace agent of course. Sent in when they needed the job done, but not the one punch takedown sort. Takes a few punches. Ordered retired for punching a 2 star General. When the Big Bad calls him Rambo, the snitch says that he's the guy who taught Rambo everything. So no, not full of buildings or cars exploding. Destruction on a budget. (You may blow up 1 car, etc). Coherent plot. Feels familiar in that we have seen it all before (because there have been so many action films is there anything new under the sun?) The kid isn't annoying. We get Ernie Hudson & a few other familiar faces. My 2 points-does it slow down enough I think about the real world(errands, laundry, etc)-no & did I care about what the characters might do after the film ends-yes. It does not set up a sequel, but there could be further adventures. I have seen more comment on the look he has in the Ari Aster movie he is in-Dream Scenario. The balding look |

Bottoms? Sounds like a gay bar. LOL, the movie is like a lesbian girl's version of Fight Club. The heroines of the piece - both unpopular students, PJ and Josie, start a high school fight club to meet girls and lose their virginity. |

Yes, I know it's probably daytime in Alabama, Kentucky, Georgia, Florida or California. That's not the point.
