Pop megastar Taylor Swift has been making a lot of headlines lately, both for efforts to get her fans to register to vote and for her rumored relationship with Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
This has triggered the sensibilities of some Trump-loving right-wing pundits, many of whom in the past attacked Swift for her criticisms of former President Donald Trump.
Shortly after Swift was shown on TV cheering on Kelce at the Chiefs game over the weekend, The Federalist's Sean Davis took to Twitter to declare that "Taylor Swift is dumb and her music sucks."
Davis also linked to an article The Federalist published earlier this month written by Mark Hemmingway that argued Swift's popularity was "a sign of national decline" on the grounds that her music is "utterly defined by self-obsession rather than introspection."
Roger Kimball, a columnist for the Trump-backing American Greatness and the American Spectator, shared Davis' feelings about Swift's music and added, "Also, she is homely."
Juanita Broderick, who once accused former President Bill Clinton of rape and who is now an unabashed Trump supporter despite the dozens of women who have accused him of sexual misconduct, reacted to an old video of Swift denouncing Trump by saying, "Who gives a F what Taylor Swift thinks?"
While Swift has earned the ire of many MAGA pundits, Trump supporter Clay Travis also turned his anger toward the man she's rumored to be dating, Travis Kelce.
"Travis Kelce is doing Bud Light and covid shot commercials," he complained. "He needs to fire all his marketing agents. Or he needs to just go ahead and cut his d--k off, become a chick, and endorse Joe Biden."
