That's odd. An interesting. Akkad wants to get as much money as he can before he passes off the rights. Can't blame him, but splitting up the rights in TV and movies could be weird, especially if they have nothing to do with each other.
I wonder if they go the anthology route, would Michael still be involved? Like separate stories (like Halloween 3), but he still have some presence?
A show about Michael could be interesting. Fleshing out the history and mythos of him and the town.
