Democrats should have never went along with extreme "right winger" Matt Gaetz and his plan to topple anyone who disagrees with him. That was an awful idea, and would have been a perfect time to give Gaetz a big FU. However, McHenry seems to be the guy many are finally getting behind. If the vote comes up I'm hoping Democrats help him. It would be the right thing for the country right now. Yet McHenry has threatened to quit. How is this the Democrats fault? McCarthy didn't keep his word when he gave it. So they should have supported him anyway? How about a half dozen of those Republicans who didn't like McCarthy voting for Jeffries? You sound defensive......wonder why.🤷♂️ The point is Gaetz and his group deserve top blame. However, that doesn't exclude Democrats for going along with it. They even had a chance to push Steve Scalise into the speakership, but they couldn't even support him. I guess since they tried to kill him years ago it wouldn't make sense to support him now. 😐

He was sending out fundraising messages while he was removing McCarthy. Not to mention the bad blood goes back to McCarthy not shutting down the investigation into the sex charges against Gaetz. And? The way campaigning is conducted needs to change, no doubt about that, but until we can get publicly funded elections everyone running for office is locked into fundraising. Gaetz too. The charges were bullshit and McCarthy should shut them down. Gaetz gets a ton of bad publicity and has a lot of enemies in Congress because his attempts to stop continuing resolution bills would make a lot of gravy trains run less smoothly. Great guy!

I'll take that any day over a party that marches in lockstep. And gets absolutely nothing done.

At any time, did you get mad at Republicans for refusing to work with Pelosi and Democrats? talkingpointsmemo.com/news/scalise-refuse-blame-trump-capitol-insurrection

Gaetz was right, Congress needs a budget and to stop these Continuing Resolution/Omnibus Bills. Gaetz could be right on everything and it does not matter. He is just one person. There are hundreds of people in Congress elected by the people that don’t think like him. If he wants to get what he wants, he needs to wait until Americans vote a Congress and President that thinks like he does.

Going along with crybaby Gaetz. Crybaby isn’t the Democratic Party’s problem. All the Republicans had to do is line up against Gaetz, yet you want blame the Democrats for yet another embarrassing GOP fiasco. “ Given their unwillingness to break from MAGA extremism in an authentic and comprehensive manner, House Democratic leadership will vote yes on the pending Republican Motion to Vacate the Chair," Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries of New York wrote to his caucus.”

Gaetz and his crew of morons had enough votes to stop everyone that didn't kiss their ring. And you know that.
