I was on one once and the instructor asked what I would do in the event of a fire. I replied that I would run for the nearest exit, screaming fire ! fire ! as I went. The instructor wondered if I was taking the course seriously. I said that I was a conscript, not a volunteer. I got a weak smile and was not troubled further.
