I'll pick a couple of unusual favorites (out of many hundreds), because they have deeply sentimental value for me. First, the Oscar winning "Unchained Melody," composed by Alex North with lyrics by Hy Zaret, and sung by Todd Duncan in the B-movie, Unchained (1955). It was later made famous by the Righteous Brothers, which is the most meaningful version for me. But here it is as it was in the film, still beautiful in its own way.
And this, another rather unusual one, but relevant to my life experiences at the moment: "Little Lamb" from Gypsy (1962), composed by Jule Styne with lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and sung by Natalie Wood.
Please feel free to add your own, be they obscure like mine, or more prominent and renowned.

Does the “Little Lamb” song mean it’s your Birthday, spiderwort? If so Happy Birthday!

Does the “Little Lamb” song mean it’s your Birthday, spiderwort ? If so Happy Birthday! No, jervis, but thank you so much for your kind thought. It means a lot. Actually, the song has more to do with the animals in it, because I lost two beloved pets in this year, and I find some comfort in the the song's tenderness and in the way Natalie treats the animals in it, while admittedly struggling with her own sorrow. Anyway, thanks again for thinking of me. You brightened my day.

As with the above ... it's the scene as well as the tune that gets me
