No, the difference is that the criminally insane are no longer locked away in loony bins where they can no longer harm the public. Instead the whole thing is defunded and the insane are turned out on the streets after a few short weeks of observation. And after the 7 day free supply of meds runs out the crazy get right back to causing trouble. So much for David H. Koch's theory that the crazy can be controlled with meds from the Eli Lilly corporation and that insane asylems are completely unnecessary. Either way, it's a financial win for those rich investor assholes because gun violence from the criminally insane can never touch or impact their wealthy pampered lives in any shape manner or form. |

The latest is the shooter was supposedly bullied at school. I guess the next step would be to teach kids to stand up to bullies to protect those who are victims. |

When will you people ever learn that the root cause of bulling is abuse and or neglect in the home. Everyone turned out to be a victim, including the parents of the shooter who neglected the social and emotional needs of their son. The way to prevent these shootings from happening is for parents to actually instruct their kids and see to the social and emotional needs of their children. There isn't any school counselor or "magic" bottle of pills that will fix the whole thing. You can't fix that problem just by throwing money at it. The key to fixing the problems of society is for people to take responsibility for fixing it instead of paying somebody else to do it and just hoping that it gets done. |

I was talking about other kids standing up to a bully to protect the victim. Not the victim himself/herself. Often times what happens is other kids know one child is being bullied. And they do nothing. Adding to the victim's feelings of isolation. |
