OK, nice cover, but what did you think of the contents?

OK, nice cover, but what did you think of the contents? I have it on my order list from Amazon. I've read Art of War and am sort of picking up a similar vibe from what I can tell. (Have you read it? What did you think of it?) I've read Plato's Dialogues as well, and Descartes. This came up as a suggested reading for me, and from what little I know, it seems interesting.

Yes, it's worth a read - he was of the school of Epictetus.
Couldn't be more different from The Art of War, though.

I guess I was getting the same vibe because of what looked like " lessons" or quotes from what little I saw. Like I said, it came up as a recommendation. It reminded me of the Art of War because the lessons could be applied to any real life scenario in today's world, addressing human behaviour and interactions, negotiations, even the psychology of human functioning and engagement. I'm looking forward to reading it. I have such a long list of books to get through as it is... and I usually have about 3 books going at the same time.
