Not the champagne kind. I’m toasting up my annual accumulation of weed stems to make weed butter for weed brownies and when I opened the oven door Weeeeeee

Well, very good.
I did actually think it was of the Champagne kind, though.

Ewww! You put stems in you brownies? I haven't done weed in years. And I smoked it. I didn't eat it. But why not put buds in your brownies?

No, goober, the stems are toasted to release the THC and then slowly rendered down, cooked on the stovetop for with butter into a mash. The oil is squeezed out and added to the oil portion of any recipe. It’s just vegetable oil. Cooking the flowers directly into a recipe doesn’t work.

Well, my question would still be, remembering from my weed days, I'd rather by an ounce with a bunch of nice buds and not too many stems. Why not just use buds to make the brownies?

It’s too expensive. Smoking it gets more bang out of the buck. I buy large flower buds with the stems, so I save them up. It takes a lot just to make an once of weed butter.

So you don't put the buds themselves in the brownies, just the oil?
Too bad Pinky isn't here. You might remember her from v2. She was an older woman who loved her pot brownies.
