Sacked the entire board!
Former NSW Premier Barry O'Farrell is the interim chairman (I'll be sending him some 1959 Penfold Grange in congratulations) and former Souths boss Shane Richardson is the interim CEO.
Interim board is 4 men: O'Farrell, Dave Gilbert, Danny Stapleton and whoever the Magpies put up as their representative.
I wish the Dragons would blow up their boardroom...

What makes this even more remarkable is that the people who sacked the board, were also the people sacked.
Confused ? Well, welcome to the absolute shit fight that is the Wests Tigers.
I could waffle on for several paragraphs (or pages actually) about how and why the club is where it is, but I won’t.
I will say what is really shitting me is that many ‘fans’ are claiming this as a triumph of fan power because the review was initiated sometime after a petition to have a review was given to the ownership of the club. What really happened was that the board and ownership were increasingly concerned about improvements being spoken about, but not materialising on the field, culminating in a 74-0 thrashing by Nth Qld.
Many went a step further by suggesting that this was the second best day in the clubs history behind GF Day 2005.
I can’t see the positive in a board and administration reading a review they paid for being so incredibly bad that they believed it was in their best interests to immediately resign en masse and sack the CEO.
Was the club being run so badly that it came to this ? Blowing the whole thing up and starting again ? And fans are celebrating ?
The worst part - the board sacked are the same people implementing the new board and overseeing the changes.

It's the nuclear option for sure. I can understand fans frustrations. The Dragons are in a far worse financial position, have only been slightly better on the field (2 finals appearancesin 12 years). It seems less chaotic because we haven't had the turnover in coaches (Price, Mary and Griffin the only full timers in those 12 years) and don't have the collection of wooden spoons. But there's a similar feeling of pointlessness year after year.
A 5 year plan with a Center of Excellence sounds like something to invest some hope in but it's increasingly looking like it was a desperate and hastily constructed bid to hold the wolves at bay.

Well, Jerome Luai just signed for 5 years so that's something to hang your hat on.
