Isn't this the way it is supposed to work? Majority rules. And there is no clear majority. Half the country wants DACA. And half doesn't. Half the country wants a border wall. Half doesn't.

Its a no brainier for anyone that has a brain. DACA will eventfully lead to full fledged amnesty for ILLEGAL aliens. And that is what the Democrats want. Future votes. The wall will keep out ILLEGAL aliens. And that is what Republicans want. Easy. Build the wall.

I don't know if half want the wall. Besides which it's implausible, would take decades to plan let alone build. It strikes me as an election slogan that can easily be forgotten once it's held up in bureaucracy for years.

I don't know if half want the wall. Besides which it's implausible, would take decades to plan let alone build. It strikes me as an election slogan that can easily be forgotten once it's held up in bureaucracy for years. Yes, I wrote it wrong. What I should have said was, "Half of Congress wants the wall. And half of Congress wants DACA." About 80% of the American people support DACA. But still the Republicans want to avoid bringing it to a vote. Seemingly wanting it to "whither on the vine" after its March expiration date. www.politico.com/story/2017/09/05/poll-trump-deporting-daca-dreamers-242343 On the other hand, about 60 percent of the American people oppose building a wall between the US and Mexico. But Republicans want to push that through. www.pewresearch.org/fact-tank/2017/02/24/most-americans-continue-to-oppose-u-s-border-wall-doubt-mexico-would-pay-for-it/Seems as though the Republicans don't represent the majority. Just their vision for America.

I don't see how anyone can trust these polls. Virtually every media and polling organization around is full of people who want an open borders society.
